Wrong.
Especially if you have a calendar that says “Daylight Saving Time Ends” on Oct. 28th. My whole day was a mess yesterday and my alarm went off at 6 a.m. this morning, only to find it was 7 a.m. Did this happen to anyone else? Could the people in charge please make up their minds?
So, quickly, playing catch up. I got my revisions in on time, and already received my line edits — speediest process I”ve ever been involved in. Perhaps because my lovely editor is now on vacation. Happy travels, Wanda!
One branch of our extended family suffered a tragic loss last week. Their beautiful, vivacious 3-year old daughter died in an accident at home — a dresser fell on her when she tried to climb it. Heart-breaking isn’t it? I only mention it here because any of us who have small children in the house should take the time to look at bulky cabinets and pieces of furniture that might not be secured to the wall or floor and attach a strap or screw to make them safe. Kids climb. That shouldn’t be a source of anguish to a bereaved family.
I’m packing for a reserach trip to the Black Hills, so blogging will be sporatic at best in the next two weeks. But I’ll bring back photos and some fun prizes for future contests.
Take care all,
Deb

MARIE, I was thinking about you during the fires. I’m so relieved to see your email.
This tragedy happened in the San Diego area, and the poor family had to deal with road closures, terrible air and fear of evacuation on top of everything else.
Thanks for your good thoughts.

Have a good trip!
I’m so sorry for the family. Had that happen here in Sacramento at a in-home childcare not long ago. So sad and as you say with the fire on top of it only adding to the stress.
Finishing BETTING ON SANTA last evening. What a great story, love Cole and Tessa.

What a terrible thing to happen. My heart goes out to the family.
Have a great trip. The Black Hills are beautiful this time of year. Of course, I am partial to autumn, and to that part of the country. Take a warm coat…never know when you will need it…
