I hate the change to and from Day Light Savings. Makes me crazy and cranky. I heard on the TV that Ben Franklin came up with DLS as a way to save people money by giving them more daylight hours for work and chores to save on the cost of kerosene. I don’t know about you, but my kerosene bill is pretty low right now.
Thanks, Ben.
Seriously, why can’t we just adopt DLS time as our one and only time and stick with it? Somebody enlighten me. No pun…okay, bad pun intended.
Jackie and Barbs, thanks for the reply to my catch-up blog. I feel missed. I’m finally starting to look forward to NYC. I’m thrilled to see friends and glom on the city energy, but I always stress over my wardrobe — more specifically, my shoes. I don’t own any city shoes. And everyone tells you to take comfy shoes because you’ll be walking bunches. So, which is it — style or comfort? And this is March, which means the weather could be anything from sun to snow. My feet hurt just thinking about it. Groan.
Cheers.

Hi Deb…welcome back….yes I missed you and so did alot of others I see. I was just reading your last blog when this one popped in. Have fun in NYC. I’ve never been but maybe some day. I too hate DLS and it’s makes me cranky too. Especially this one when I loose an hour. I can’t afford to loose an hour. Your grandchildren are so adorable. I love the ocean too, and hopefully this will be the year we can go and take the trailer to Lawson’s landing or anywheres there is ocean beach. I’ve just been corresponding with Linda Warren & she was excited that I knew you. I sure loved the Texas Hold ‘em series. It was so Awesome and great writing to all you guys. Can’t wait til your next book comes out. Keep them coming. Thanks Patti

I agree - let’s choose one time and keep it. The time change doesn’t make me cranky, I just find it annoying because I never remember to change my clocks! I bought a pair of $100 “comfy” shoes when I last went to NYC. They gave me blisters. Near NYU we found a store selling flip flops - I wore those the rest of the week with the exception of the evening show we attended. They were perfect! JM

Yeah Deb….it usually takes me about 3-4 weeks to get used to the new time change. Normal???? What’s that? Patti

I agree about daylight savings time, always have complained. Hawaii does NOT change time. So we went from 2 hours different to 3 hours dif, makes sense, doesn’t it? jan

Aloha: Guess you heard what a great time we had in Hawaii. Planning on seeing the group in late April. By the way what books of yours are out so I can get them. I’ve lost track. Have all the Texas Hold’em books. Good series but liked yours the best … of course. Love Patti
