Long-term planning

That sounds like a boring topic, doesn’t it? But this is something fun. Way cool fun, actually.

The Sacramento Rose chapter of RWA has been doing a yearly Reader Appreciation luncheon. First year, our speaker was Debbie Macomber — who made us laugh and cry. Last year, was Julia Quinn, who was wonderful despite suffering from laringytis — what a trooper. Well, this year, we are in for a treat because….drum roll, please…the fabulously entertaining and witty Susan Wiggs will be our guest speaker.

So, in terms of long-term planning — the fun kind, not the death benefit stuff — here’s the date: September 20th. Sacramento. Venue and times to come.

And, coincidentally, MY second book in the Sentinel Pass series will be out that month, too, so I’ll get to sign it at the Book Faire. Woohoo!

  1. I’m so looking forward to the luncheon. We changed guest speakers? I thought it was Lisa Jackson but it doesn’t matter to me

Oh good I’ll get a book signed by you finally! I can’t remember when the last one was–I have all your books somewhere in this house–I’ve rearranged this house and don’t know where half the stuff is!

  2. I agree with Barbs on the up coming luncheon and really looking forward to it too. Road trip to Sacramento and on Hwy 99 huh Deb???? LOL And we changed from Lisa Jackson to Susan Wiggs as guest speaker? It doesn’t matter to me either but I wonder why? I’ll put Sept. 20th on the calander. Glad you’ll have a book out to sign this year. You go girl! Patti

  3. Hey there Deb! Sorry it’s been awhile since I dropped by. I’d love to see your May cover! And I am excited about the Reader Luncheon, too. I’ve never heard Susan Wiggs speak so I’m anticipating a fun day.
Hope all is well. The babies are adorable! Tell Kelly I said HI! and Daisy is a sweetheart.

  4. Patti and Barbs, you are right. The scheduled speaker was Lisa Jackson, and she might be coming next year, but this time there was a conflict so Susan Wiggs is stepping up. You’ll love her.

I just got the official version from Harlequin, Kim. I think we authors should get these at the same time B&N and Amazon gets it, don’t you? I’m going to post it now. Heard yours is pretty cool, too. Could this be Cover Wars? Naw, just kidding.
