I love the name of this blog. And I’m so pleased to have been invited as a guestblogger. Here’s the link, if you’re interested. WRITEMINDED
The title of my blog is The Chaos Factor. It’s about you how keep writing even when all the stuff you can’t imagine happening to you happens — at one time. Here’s an excerpt:
…But sometimes, the real world intrudes. The upstairs air conditioner quits. Your contractor husband decides it’s finally time to remodel your master bedroom closet, so everything you wear, everything you once loved and now hate, everything you can’t remember why you bought, gets dumped in your living room for all the world to see. (Plus, you’re forced to admit that you own fourteen pair of black shoes and he only has four—two for winter, two for summer.) And, it’s Mother’s Day. Your granddaughter’s birthday. Your daughter gets engaged. You and your husband both get the flu—or food poisoning. And someone near and very dear to you dies.
Sometimes all of those things happen at once.
Oh…and you have a book out and you’re on deadline.
Welcome to my world.
Oh, and they have the coolest emoticons. I got a little carried away. Go figure.

Hi Deb, you are right the Writeminded blog is a great place. I visit there often. They really keep things going there and you pick up a lot of information about books.

Hi Deb, I’ll have to check out the new blog, but had the respond to the 14 pairs of black shoes. What’s wrong with that??? I have at least that many and am sure I will find more on our shopping trip in Denver! Hope the flu has left you now and you can deal with the rest of the stuff. Your daughter was engaged? How perfectly wonderful for her!! Hugs, Jackie

Hi, Virginia, I love this blog. The people are so nice. They’ve really made me feel welcome. Thanks for dropping by.
Jackie. You sweet thing. I got rid of one pair that was a little too big for me. It was hard, but I did it.
Paul built a new shoe rack for me…I mean us. It’s very nice, but finite space is finite space. Do you suppose he’s trying to tell me something?
Yep. My girl got engaged, but the wedding is in the distant future. She’s loving school and that works for me.

How great to have a daughter engaged and liking school. Hope the granddaughters are happy and well this long weekend.
Have plans for this weekend? It’s raining here and cool too. I’m sure you are close to the same weather too. Last weekend it was 100 and miserable. I guess I just can’t be happy with the weather
