Book winner and travel advice specialist
Thanks, everyone–especially Minna–for the travel advice. I remember seeing the adage: “‘Never pass up a potty’ somewhere, and, boy, did it strike a chord.
Here’s my unscientific way of picking a contest winner: write all the names on paper, cut into squares, shake in hands and toss into the air. The ones that came up “heads” (name showing) would receive a prize.
Marie, Marcie and Kaelee, your names are staring me in the face. So, let me send you each a book. Your pick–even the new one, HIS BROTHER’S SECRET, if you promise to talk it up to your friends so they go out and buy one.
CONSOLATIONS PRIZES: free $100-dollar bill magnetic bookmarks to anyone who sends me a SASE (self-addressed, stamped envelop). Here’s the mailing addy: Debra Salonen * P.O. Box 322 * Catheys Valley * CA * 95306. Visualize prosperity–and read “Spotlight on Sentinel Pass.”
They’re kinda cute, don’t you think? I gave them away at conference and everyone seemed to like them. I’ll stick in 2-3, depending on the weight. Don’t want to mess with postage–it’s getting so it costs more to send out books than I make on them. Sigh.
A couple more things:
1. I’m blogging at eHarlequin on Sept. 11. “My Top Ten Harlequin Moments” (photos included).
This is part of the month-long “30 Days/30 Authors Blog Bash”. Here’s the link. BASH Knock yourself out. There will be prizes.
2. PRAYERS NEEDED. My cousin’s son, Damien, 33, was injured in a diving accident near Monterey, CA, and is in the hospital in pretty rough shape. All of your healing thoughts and prayers for his recovery would be most appreciated. He’s had surgery to remove bone fragments from his C-4/C-5 vertebrae. He can move his hands but has no movement in his legs or feet as yet. He’s also recovering from pneumonia. Oh.
I’m going to see him tomorrow. Will take your kindness with me.
3. On a happier note: even 1-year olds like to play dress-up. Isn’t this a fun shot of Miss Daisy?
My NEWSLETTER goes out tomorrow. Let me know if you don’t get one, and I’ll add you to the email list.
Happy Labor Day!
Deb
