A lame video of the Falls

My apologies. I need a new camera–one that takes videos WITH sound. What a concept! I ran out of time before I left and didn’t get one ordered, so this lame video of the rushing water going over the edge of Horseshoe Falls is the best I can offer. I suggest you make a loud growling sound (spit optional) to simulate the roar. link

If this link doesn’t work, you can also find it on my blog at my MySpace page. Sigh.

  1. Not lame at all! I love it! WOW! How’d you get a picture so close to the edge? *shiver* I might pee my pants if I were so close! Beautiful, even without the roaring sounds. (I went with the No Spit option). ;-)

  2. Awesome video even without the sound. Now I just HAVE to get to Niagara Falls one way or the other. I’ve always wanted to go.

  3. Thanks, guys, you made me feel better.

Kim, I was shocked at how close you can get. The tricky part was keeping the camera lens dry. Your kids would love it there, but it’s a long trip from here.

Ellen, do put this on your must-see list. Such a funny mix of nature and commercial. I enjoyed the nature part best and didn’t see the need for the other, but that’s just me.

  4. Deb - I agree with you on the commercial part of many our most awesome nature spots. One reason I like to visit our National Parks is that the keep the commercial out of the park (for the most part).

  5. Deb, what an awesome sight - you don’t even need the audio to imagine how it must roar! Okay, this definitely has to go on my list of must-see places. I really need to win the lottery and stop working so I can get to all the places on my ever-growing list!! Hugs, Jackie
